Greeting the Chinese New Year

Gong hei fat choi! Happy New Year! The Lunar New Year is the most important holiday of the Chinese calendar. It’s an occasion when families gather to celebrate with special food and red and gold decorations, and to wish each other health and good fortune over the coming year. The Pilgrims’ boys were especially lucky this year to be treated to an unforgettable Lion Dance, arranged by the generosity of parents who joined the boys for the celebration.

The Chinese Zodiac has 12 signs, and this year we welcomed the pig. We hope the Year of the Pig will bring good luck, good health, good cheer, peace and prosperity to all.
