The Pilgrims' School is a busy, vibrant community, which we delight in sharing.

Details of this term's open days can be found below and we look forward to seeing you. However we recommend that you should also aim to visit the school on a normal working day. To arrange a visit or for more information about the school, please contact the Registrar who will be very happy to help, or submit the form here.

Matches are played on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons on our playing fields adjacent to the school, at the bottom of Wharf Hill. You are welcome to spectate (and support!); please check the school calendar for fixtures.

Cathedral Mondays

The Pre-Prep regularly gathers in the stunningly beautiful Cathedral (our school chapel!) for their Monday morning assembly. Current parents often accompany their sons, and they are always very happy to chat and offer additional information about the school.

Visitors are warmly invited to meet us at the West End entrance of the Cathedral at 8.45am, and to walk back to school with us afterwards for coffee and an informal chat with the Head of the Pre-Prep. After an exploration of the Pre-Prep classrooms, senior boys will be delighted to escort you on a tour around the Prep, which will give you the opportunity to meet many of the teachers and to observe our style of teaching. The tour concludes at 10.15am. The Registrar will be on hand to answer any questions after your tour.

open days

We hold two open days each year, in the autumn and spring terms. They include a tour of the school during lessons so that you can observe our style of teaching to boys. The open mornings are a great way for your son to visit the school as they conclude with fun taster sessions in science, music, art and sport. These are family occasions, all are welcome.

Individual tours

Visiting parents are welcome to arrange an individual visit. This includes a tour of the school with one of our senior boys, the chance to observe our teaching and time to chat with key staff, including the Headmaster, or the Head of the Pre-Prep, and the Registrar. Visits are available by appointment, mornings only (as the boys are out on the sports pitches for much of the afternoon).
