The Pilgrims' School is Winchester Cathedral's school. Religious Studies plays an important and distinctive part in the curriculum, informing the school's Christian foundation and ethos with factual detail and knowledge.

We aim to help each pupil acquire a thorough understanding of the Christian faith; its literature, history, traditions and distinctive nature and language. The boys also learn about other world faiths, through visits from their declared and practising members and often through the personal experience of boys of other faiths at the school.

We provide a forum where pupils may enquire more deeply into the content of Christian teachings, and where they may challenge and measure them against other competing world views.

We encourage the boys to consider wider spiritual, religious, cultural and moral issues. It is our hope that they will continue in lively debate about faith, ethics and morality long after they have left the school.
