Forest School

On a beautiful, crisp, and bright winter’s morning, the boys in Reception headed out for a Forest School session down by our river. Using the chilly weather as their theme, they were asked to draw upon their imagination and consider what life is like for the Inuits. The boys turned their thoughts to food - why do Inuits eat fish? They measured sticks and used them use as fishing rods, complete with bait. Sadly, no fish were caught, and the boys returned to the Pre-Prep for a consolatory warming hot chocolate. Later this term, we hope to extend the project and the boys will build an igloo with the milk bottles we have been collecting.
