The School
The Pilgrims' School is a preparatory school for 200 boys aged 7 to 13, including the 22 Choristers of Winchester Cathedral and the 16 Quiristers (the Chapel choir boys) of Winchester College.
Boarding and day pupils are admitted.
In September 2007, our Pre-preparatory Department opened for boys and girl siblings from Reception through to Year 2. Forming an integral part of The Pilgrims' School, the curriculum isfirmly aligned with that of the Pilgrims' Junior Years. ensuring a common approach and allowing for the best preparation for entry to Year 3.
The school is part of the ministry of the Cathedral but operates independently of it under a board of governors. It is in unique association with Winchester College.
As the main feeder to Winchester College, up to half of the boys in the top year move there each year. The others go on to the major independent schools of the south (Eton, Harrow, Charterhouse, Canford, Sherborne, etc).
The school has an enviable awards record. This year, 16 awards were won, including 6 on Roll to Winchester.
Academic studies, sport and music blend easily in the school, and all boys are encouraged to strive for their personal best.
