House System
Upon entry, each boy is allocated to one of five ‘Sets’. The names reflect the history of the original buildings which presently house the school. They are
- Romans
- Saxons
- Normans
- Monks
- Wrens (after Sir Christopher Wren who redesigned the main house)
Set points are gained for sport, and for music, academic work and good citizenship.
The Sets provide not only for inter-Set competition, but also another informal means for boys of various years to mix and meet each other and staff.
Boarders and day boys are fully involved in these Sets, as are the Choristers and Quiristers.
