The Pilgrims' School is a busy, vibrant community, which we love to share with visitors. We hold two whole school open mornings each year. They take place during a normal school morning so that you can spend time in our classrooms and get a sense of how we teach, and how the boys learn. Our senior boys will be your guides, and you are welcome to ask them lots of questions. Be prepared for long answers, our boys love to chat! The Headmaster, teachers, and current parents will be available to meet you, and there will be a continuous flow of refreshments to keep you going.
The Pre-Prep holds additional events each term for parents with pre-school children, with a focus on EYFS and joining the school in Reception. More information can be found in our Pre-Prep pages, here.
Drop in to a match, see our sport
Matches are played on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons on our sports pitches adjacent to the school, next to Wolvesey Palace at the bottom of Wharf Hill (SO23 9NF). You are welcome to come and watch, please check the school calendar for fixtures. In the summer, there is an ice-cream van parked right outside...
You are very very welcome to arrange an individual tour during the week, on a school morning during term time.
New to Winchester?
Our open mornings are an ideal opportunity to come with your family to explore the school and our beautiful location. We are moments away from the town with lots of child-friendly places to eat, drink and stay. There's a riverside walk from our gate, which leads to a lovely park and the High Street with places to eat, and we are just a short drive from the countryside and coast. Why not make a day of it? Winchester has a great website which you might find helpful.
