Chinese New Year celebrations

It was wonderful to welcome parents to The Pilgrims' Hall on Monday morning, where Jess Xu, a fellow parent, treated us to a Chinese Tea Ceremony, at the start of the lunar new year.

Chinese New Year

Tea ceremony

This is the ‘Year of the Tiger’, and to mark this there were plentiful Spring Festival treats to sample and enjoy. An enormous thank you to Jess and her helpers for hosting a fascinating tea ceremony. We tasted 3 different types of tea and enjoyed festive nibbles while Jess filled us in on the history and traditions of tea in China.

And in school...

On Tuesday, our catering team treated boys and staff to some amazing Chinese food, in celebration of The Lunar New Year. Our matron said, 'Never in all my time at Pilgrims' have I seen such delighted boys at breakfast, and lunch. What a feat! The boys told me they gave it 10/10!'
