The easiest route is to ignore the Winchester turning at Junction 9 and to continue on to Junction 11. From there, follow the directions below, as if you were arriving from the south. This avoids the city centre and the rather confusing one way system.
At a large roundabout where it meets the M3 (Junction 9), do not follow the signs for Winchester, but instead follow signs for Winnall. Go straight on at the roundabout with the large Tesco supermarket on your left. Continue down the hill until you merge with the city’s one-way system. Move immediately to the right hand lane to bear right, signposted to the city centre. Move to the left lane of this one way road (George Street) which weaves through the city centre, then climbs a brief hill which ends with a T junction and traffic lights (this is Jewry Street). Turn left here, and then left again at the next set of traffic lights. This is Southgate Street. Continue for half a mile. At the Green Man pub, which is on the left, opposite the Screen cinema, turn left down St Swithun’s Street. Continue straight ahead where the road narrows and drive through the Cathedral Gate, into the Cathedral Close. The school is on your right, with limited private parking in front of it. If you are visiting the school for an appointment, we will happily reserve a parking space for you.
The one way system is easy when you've done it a couple of times and know where you are going!
Come off the M3 at Junction 11. Go across the first small roundabout and turn right at the second roundabout, following signs for the city centre and St Cross. Just under 2 miles after leaving the motorway, you will reach the Screen Cinema on your left. Turn right opposite the cinema, by the Green Man pub, and drive down St Swithun’s Street. Continue straight ahead where the road narrows and drive through the decorative Cathedral Gate. The school is on your right, with limited private parking in front of it. Please let us know you are coming so that we can reserve a parking place for you.

We are delighted for parents and friends to attend matches. Please do not park in the Cathedral Close, which is private land. If the school's car park on Wharf Hill is full, you are advised to avoid the wrath of the traffic wardens and to use street parking or one of the city centre car parks, a very short walk from the school. Alternatively, you may prefer to use the excellent park and ride facilities, of which there are two, with frequent shuttle buses to the city centre, under 5 minutes walk from the school.
If using a SatNav, please input SO23 9NB as the postcode which will take you to the pitches. There is a barrier across the road between College Street and Wharf Hill which makes it impossible to reach the pitches by car if you come down College Street.
