Hello Harold!

Can the excitement grow any greater?

What a busy time we have enjoyed in Year 2 this week. On Monday Harold came to visit us as part of our educational workshop with SCARF. The boys were captivated by a perfectly pitched delivery of how we can care for ourselves and others, physically and emotionally. With technology as it is today, the boys were not only able to interact directly with Harold’s birthday party but were able to view the inner workings of our bodies by way of a technically ‘savvy’ T-shirt!

Despite the pouring rain, our trip to the Weald and Downland Living Museum went ahead on Tuesday. On arrival the rain ceased, the sun came out and we enjoyed the entire museum all to ourselves. The boys fully engaged with all the activities; curiosity fuelling intelligent and well thought out questions.

Back in the classroom, learning has continued with Lego models of the museum, artwork and further cross-curricular studies intermingled with our regular swimming, French and music activities. Cathedral Assembly has been the perfect way to reflect on our week and glide smoothly into the weekend.
