from Paul Bryant, School Chaplain & Head of Theology, Philosophy and Religion.

In this week's Thursday reflection, pupils at Pilgrims' were learning about Holocaust Memorial Day (27 January). Discussions have centred around how the use of divisive language and identity-based discrimination leads to prejudice and persecution. In the senior school, pupils discussed Gregory H. Stanton's ten stages of genocide that starts with classification and ends in denial. Understanding how these crimes begin can enable the early intervention which stops them happening.
