The lighting of the Christmas tree

Previous

There are some truly special moments to being a Chorister and the approach to Christmas features highly on that list.

One of the shortest but very special commitments for the Cs is the lighting of the magnificent Christmas tree at the West end of the Cathedral. Looking naturally festive in their red robes, the boys held twinkling candles while they sang carols, then the tree was prettily illuminated and blessed. We hope you will be able to join the Choristers in the Cathedral during Choir Time - they love seeing their friends in the congregation, especially outside term-time, when they are busy with their Christmas duties.
