Year 1 raise over £500 and counting for the RNLI with their Mayday Mile!

This May, Year 1 spent every school day completing a route around the school site in a variety of imaginative ways to raise as much money as possible for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution. The boys have been taking part in the charity’s fundraising initiative, the Mayday Mile, and fully embraced the challenge from start to finish.

The class came up with many of the creative ways they wanted to complete the route themselves, from rolling hoops and bouncing balls to riding trikes and walking on stilts. The boys worked incredibly hard each day, with every challenge bringing new opportunities to develop perseverance, resilience and teamwork.

We are extremely proud of our young fundraisers – not only for the fantastic amount of money they have raised, but also for the compassion and determination they have shown whilst learning about the importance of helping others.
