Year 6 Science practical

Previous

Year 6 have been planning and carrying out a variation of a long answer exam question that many did not get full marks on.

It is also a more complex version of a practical that they carried out earlier this academic year. In this case, they have to separate a mixture of sand, salt and iron filings, with the winning group producing, after a week, the greatest amount of each separated and dried.

This is an ongoing full investigation where the pupils first had to plan what they were going to do before carrying out and following their own instructions.
