Start of year news from the PPA

A very warm welcome to Pilgrims' Christmas term 2025 from the PPA! Please look out for posters advertising our events around the school and at the bottom of this newsletter.
For those of you who don't know us, this is an enthusiastic group of parents who get together throughout the year to host events for parents and boys alike. By bringing people together, we hope to support and strengthen the Pilgrims' community, whilst also having a good deal of fun. We are always open to new members, so please do get in touch, either via your year reps or our email, PPA@pilgrims-school.co.uk. We would love to hear from you.
The PPA year began happily last Friday with staff and parents' drinks, jointly held with the school in the fabulous Pilgrims' Hall. Coming straight after the start-of-year meetings, this was a lovely chance for us all to catch up after the long summer break, and I'm delighted to say it was notably well-attended. A huge thank you to the team who gave their time to help organise and decorate (not without a certain amount of early hours' panic). The Pilgrims' Hall looked great and everyone enjoyed a thoroughly pleasant evening.

Sunday 14 September saw our first Committee Meeting of the year, and again, thank you to those in attendance. We now have a programme of events for the term to come, the first of which is our Pre-Prep Coffee Morning after drop-off on Friday 3 October, followed by Breakfast in the Yard on Saturday 4 October. The second-hand uniform shop will also be open at this time, should this be any additional inducement. Brilliantly manned by Georgette's team of volunteers, this is an indispensable resource for anyone in search of spare socks or unexpectedly needing to replace outgrown sports' kit.
We very much look forward to seeing lots of you there, and at further events as the term progresses! Watch this space!
