By the time of publishing, all of Year 6 will be proud owners of their 'Bunsen burner licence'

This is a key step in their Scientific careers, being the point at which they are able to start doing experiments with Bunsen burners in the lab, having proved they know how to use this key piece of equipment safely and understanding all there is to know about it to keep them safe.

The Bunsen burner is named after Robert Wilhelm Eberhard Bunsen, the German chemist who developed it in 1855, making it possible to investigate many more aspects of Science than ever before safely in the laboratory.

Well done, boys, and I look forward to taking you through all the experiments we can now do!
