Anna Elliot, PPA Chair, reviews the Pre-Prep Coffee after drop off last Friday and the Breakfast in the Yard event last Saturday.
Hope springs eternal, and although not quite Spring, it was lovely on a not-too-drizzly Friday to catch up with Pre-Prep parents for this term's coffee after drop off. For those of us for whom this age-group is a retreating memory, it was refreshingly salutary to see children in pushchairs and babies in slings, amidst a wholly-invested discussion of the shifting exigencies of the show and tell regime! Seemingly a haven of tranquility next to the river, it was great to hear the Pre-Prep in full operational mode.
Next morning, we gathered in the yard for the PPA breakfast, having scrubbed-down the barbecue (thank you, Sam!) to provide bacon rolls, coffee, and pastries for a good crowd gathered ahead of the third Parley of the year. Optimising this transitory passage in the busy Pilgrims' schedule, we were happy to greet many of you and swap stories of early morning practice and mislaid PE kit. Particular thanks to the Uniform Shop volunteers on this front (and it can feel like one!) for their quietly tireless input, and for opening in tandem. Along with the seamless catering provision, it is hugely appreciated!
