Boarders' All-in Weekend

Our boarders had a great day at Paultons Park as part of our boarding 'All in Weekend'. The boys set off bright and early by coach for their adventure to one of Hampshire's favourite theme parks. The weather was very kind to us – mostly sunny with just one brief shower that did not slow anyone down.

We could not have asked for better conditions at the park itself. With virtually no queues throughout the day, the boys were able to make the most of every ride and attraction, from the thrilling roller coasters to the gentler family rides that suited all ages and stomachs! The boy's behaviour throughout the day was exemplary – a real credit to the School and a testament to the values we wish to develop in our boarding community.

Our Choristers and Quiristers joined the fun after fulfilling their Sunday morning singing commitments, arriving by minibus ready for their share of the excitement. Groups were rearranged, merged and mixed, then off the boys went again – it was clear that anticipation had been building all morning for their arrival.

It was particularly valuable to see how this trip served as such a good bonding experience for our 22 boys who are new to boarding this year. The relaxed atmosphere and shared experiences provided the perfect environment for building the friendships that make boarding life so rewarding.

There were countless happy moments throughout the day – from nervous newcomers finding their feet and discovering their courage on the bigger rides, to established boarders naturally welcoming new friends into their groups and sharing tips about the best rides.

We are enormously grateful to Mr Jennings for organising such a successful and memorable trip. Days like these remind us why boarding life is so special. Nothing quite compares to seeing young friendships flourish through shared adventures and laughter.
