Boarders' end of year theme night

Previous

Monday evening brought plenty of sunshine, laughter, and seaside fun as our boarders enjoyed a fantastic beach-themed night together.

Instead of our usual prep session, everyone had the chance to relax and make the most of the beautiful weather. To begin the evening, we tucked into a delicious take-away style fish and chips supper, followed by the much-requested Magnum ice creams, which proved to be the perfect treat on such a warm, sunny day.

The evening's activities gave everyone the opportunity to get involved. Mr Macey took charge of an energetic game of kwick cricket, where there was plenty of enthusiastic batting, bowling, and impressive catches. Meanwhile, Mr Jennings organised a lively volleyball competition, with great teamwork, determination, and lots of smiles on display.

Perhaps the highlight of the evening was the sandcastle competition, led by Mr Leslie and Mrs Jennings. With the sound of seagulls calling overhead and waves gently crashing in the background, our budding architects worked creatively to build impressive sandcastles. Using shells, colourful flags, and other seaside treasures to decorate their masterpieces, each team showed fantastic imagination and teamwork. The finished creations were as unique as the children who built them, making it a difficult task to choose favourites!

It was wonderful to see everyone making the most of the glorious weather, enjoying time outdoors, and creating lasting memories with friends. The evening was filled with laughter, friendly competition, and plenty of seaside spirit—a perfect way to spend a Monday together.

A huge thank you to all the staff who helped make the evening such a success. The children returned to boarding with happy memories (and perhaps a little sand still in their shoes!).
