Probationer Choristers are dubbed!

The formal admission to the Cathedral Choir is called 'Dubbing', and it is a very special occasion for our youngest Choristers.

On Saturday evening during the Evensong service, our seven probationer Choristers were 'dubbed' (formally admitted to the Cathedral choir) by Interim-Dean, The Rev Canon Dr Roland Riem. Joining them in this photo was Mr. Andrew Lucas, Interim-Director of Music at the Cathedral and our new probationer, Oliver, who watched with us from the pews. Many members of the boys' families attended the service, making it a night that the boys will never forget.  Many congratulations boys, from your boarding family at Main School.

"We were delighted to attend the dubbing of the Choristers on Saturday 13 September. After all the hard work of the probationary year, it was so lovely to celebrate with Alexander and all the boys. We (and he) felt very proud and are very excited for what the future holds!"

From Sophie, Chorister parent
