The Beyblades commoner got off to a riotous start this term, with the Octagon transformed into an arena of boisterous, high-octane competition. Thankfully though, sportsmanship remained intact throughout despite the fierceness of the competition.

Mr Jennings and Mr Sutherland being mere novices, were quickly schooled as to the finer points of Beyblade lore by over 30 experts and there will be more to come next week when the league ladder is introduced...

For the uninitiated, Beyblade toys are customisable spinning tops, originating from Japan, where participants compete in battles over who's Beyblade spins for the longest time!
