Autumn leaves and conkers prove useful tools for creating journey sticks, as the boys in Year 3 discovered this week.

Native Americans and Aboriginal people used journey sticks as a visual map for the journeys they went on. We decided to have a go at trying to create our own journey sticks for our walk to Elizabeth Mead. We stopped at key points during our walk to collect memorable natural items from the area. Once at Elizabeth Mead, the boys used their imagination and knot skills to create their visual map.
