Year 6 English

On Thursday, Year 6 made the short journey across the road to the College to have a look at their collection of William Blake materials.
William Blake features heavily in our class text this term, 'Skellig,' and for the boys to see his artwork and engravings first hand was a real treat. Master-in-College, Dr Alex Latter, was brilliant as he expertly questioned the boys about their existing knowledge, before broadening it over the course of an hour and a half as we carouselled around eight different original prints, before asking them to feed back on their findings.
I was really struck by how eloquent, engaged and confident the boys were and they will undoubtedly return to the novel the richer for the experience.
