End of Year 8 exam fun!

Having finished his scholarship exams early, Hamish (Year 8) came up with a great project that kept him occupied whilst the other boys completed their exams. He writes about it here.

After considering the task for a while, I decided to design an escape room challenge for my class to celebrate the end of their exams. Initially, I drew an outline map of clues and put a few ideas on paper. Once the Eton Scholarship exams finished, Nathan and Ennis joined me, and we worked on bringing the ideas to life.  Finally, at the end of the week, with exams fully out of the way, the class was split into small groups, and everyone started on their hunt.  With twelve clues, the challenge ranged from riddles to teamwork challenges and even morse code.

For a couple of hours, boys ran back and forth across the school in their search for clues, solving them as they went.  The weather was amazing, contributing to the fun of the event and the joy of finishing their exams. Overall, the day was a big success!
