Last Saturday, both of our choirs: Choristers (from Winchester Cathedral) and Quiristers (from Winchester College) took a trip up to London to host a choral workshop at St. Luke’s Church, Chelsea, well known to the Quiristers who sing a charity carol service every year at this Church.
On Friday, Winchester College gathered in the Cathedral for their Carol Service, marking (nearly) the end of the Christmas Term, or Short Half. As a prelude, Corelli’s Christmas Concerto was played by the Chamber Orchestra, a classic that has accompanied Pilgrims’ Carol Services from time to time.

With Bonfire Night coming up next month, the boys were learning what makes fireworks the colours they are.
The formal admission to the Cathedral Choir is called 'Dubbing', and it is a very special occasion for our youngest Choristers.
The parents of Year 4 boys were whisked away back in time by more than 2000 years on Wednesday evening, and were immersed in the culture, mythology and music of Ancient Greece!
Year 8 have had a wonderful week down on the Devon moors for their first residential on their Year 8 programme.
Our crew of two Year 7 boys competed at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy in the IAPS Pre-Schools Regatta.

The boys are currently enjoying learning how to handle, call and lure these powerful and beautiful birds of prey against the backdrop of Wolvesey Castle here, in Winchester.
On Thursday morning, the boys in Year 3 bounded into school with rucksacks and sleeping bags at the ready, in anticipation of their day in the great outdoors and, for many, a night outdoors as well.
We had a wonderfully sunny and engaging day at this exceptional palace.
We’ve had a fantastic start to the Summer Term here in Pre-Prep, getting straight back into the swing of things with lots of energy and enthusiasm from the boys. A very warm welcome to our new families who have joined us this term.
